Hi Simone,
Do you and your friend have a short cage (SS) or medium cage (GS) on your rear derailleur ? With Shimano, the short cage accept max 28 in theory (but 30 in practical but not 32). The Medium cage accept Max 34.
Maybe that's just the problem ?
