Suito power fluctuation

Postby eric.martin02 » Wed Apr 08, 2020 7:52 pm

Hi,

I don't know if someone can help me here, but i take a chance.

I had a weird issue with my Suito. it's been working very well for the past few months. Suddenly, last week, during a zwift session, the power as started to fluctuate a lot. It varie constantly between 0 and 2500 watts, no matter the speed or the resistance.

At this time, i though it was a problem with Zwift, but the same issue happen in My eTraining. I tried another ant + dongle, bluetooth, always same thing. I tried on another device, same thing again.

Elite support doesn't help, they only said that it's a problem with my apps and i need to update it. So everything is up to date. I also did a calibration a few times.

Last thing, the firmware of the Suito is up to date (191).

i also joint a little example of the power graph for a two minutes little session.

Someone has an idea about what's going on ?

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem using the Suito in ERG mode. The power display is erratic, jumping between 10 -15 watts above and below the target power for each interval in the session. I am connected to Zwift on Apple TV via bluetooth. I have done a Spin calibration on Zwift and have the lates firmware for Suito and app for Zwift. Seems to be an issue for others on the Zwift forums but no real solution. If I can't get it sorted soon, the ELite is getting returned for a Wahoo.

Hi guys

We had a problem with a previous version of our app that make power go crazy. We immediately released a fix to solve the problem.
If you still have abnormal power values (more than 1000W) install the latest version of our app or software and start a training (few seconds it's enough). This will solve the problem

Another possible cause of sudden increasing of power are interferences.
This happens when you have more devices connected to the trainer (even if not running in that moment). Often the cause is some cyclecomputer (Garmin, Wahoo, Polar...).
So, a good test is to power off all the devices and restart only the device you want to use.
If this is not enough, power off also the wifi as a test (some channels can create interference)
If the problem persists, contact our customer care

If the oscillations are within 10-20W, they are absolutely normal.
Those oscillations are real, if you use a power sensor you can see them. They are due to the difference between a pedal stroke and the other.
Even pro riders have a 10-15W oscillations

Regards
