Elite Direto only blue color LED lights up, no red power LED lights up

Hi All,
What should i do in this case to troubleshoot my Elite Direto since it is out of warranty?
Anyone can send me the schematics of the PCB on Elite Direto (non-X) series so that I can troubleshoot the circuitry?
Or can ELITE quote me the PCB cost?
There is no different than days before on how I used the smart trainer.
I really like this smart trainer, please help me if someone who encountered similar issue, and let me know how to fix it.

Hi

If only the blue led is lit, it means that the board is not properly supplied.
The cause may be:
1. a problem on the power supply
2. a problem on the electronic board

So, first of all you have to check the output of the power supply (you can check it with a tester/multimeter or ask to an electronic shop); you have to find 12V. Another possibility is to try to power the trainer with a different power supply with the same output (12V and at least 1.5A) and see what happens.

If still only the blue led is on, the problem is on the electronic board.
In this case, the best solution is to contact us at myetraining@elite-it.com, we will send you a new board that you can mount by yourself (it's an easy operation). If the trainer is out of warranty, you'll have to pay for it but I can assure you that the cost is very affordable

I found a component closed to the cadence jack, labeled 'AC' to be shorted upon measuring with multimeter, I guess it is a SMD diode, please confirmed that? Or can you send me a copy of the PCB schematics so that I can continue to troubleshoot

The adaptor is OK, I have measured it to be 12V DC output as normal, that's what I guess the blue LED is on, as the Bluetooth circuitry might be separated.

I removed the AC and that's not the root cause, I need to reorder the board.

The electronic board costs 90€ plus shipment.
Of course if the trainer has less than 2 years we will send it for free.

thank you, it is fixed now, been doing 2 rides in zwift, everything is working

I inquired for details on schematics, but it was not available.
here's what I did, ELITE HQ in Italy shipped me a brand new PCB, by asking me the serial number of my trainer, I guess it is to set the correct offset values into the micro-controller on the PCB. Then they provide me step by step procedure in video for board installation which I already knew how to do it, but it was a good support provided. If the trainer age is < 2 years, parts are under warranty, that is why I was not being charged. Great support from ELITE HQ, local distributor was asking me a fees in order to fix it, as they told us warranty is only 1yr.
I am still puzzled as what could have caused such occurrence, but I am glad it was attended very quick, even tough I am in ASIA.
