Drivo Cot Set Adapter

I recently purchased a Drivo. I am using a road bike, Cannondale CAAD10 11 speed. The cog set adapter where my drive side rear dropout rests is only 3mm wide and this does not create a good contact position even with the skewer tight. On all of my wheels on the drive side (cassette side) this is 5mm wide and sits deeper into the rear dropout. I am concerned of damaging my frame/rear dropout. Is 3mm the correct width for the cog set adapter or is this a product defect? Please advise. Anyone have a different cog set adapter than what I have explained?
