I've recently replaced my old Elite Evo trainer with a Zumo and whilst I'm happy with it there's definitely an issue with the gears or should I say the spacing......
......I've replace both cassettes (on my road wheel and on the zumo), they both needed replacing and a new chain at the same time can't hurt. After doing this and checking that all worked OK on the road wheels I put the bike back on the zumo and noticed something; as soon as I started turning the peddles the chain dropped down from 9th gear to 8th, without touching the shifters. Also, it won't shift into the highest gear......
Also, if I drop down to the lowest gear I don't hit the derailleur stop and if I'm not paying attention and keep shifting the chain drops off.
This all suggests that the spacing/geometry of the zumo is off. So, I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else? And whether there's a solution?
I'm pretty sure that the 5mm spacer that the manual says to put on the non-drive side (see image below) is potentially on the wrong side :
Looking at the drive side it definitely looks to close to the frame (see image below):
Help folks, I want to keep the zumo but this is quite annoying.....
Zumo and gears issue....
