Sterzo

What fork is required to use the sterzo please? My bike wheel does not pivot in the same place as the pivot in the sterzo, and so the steering function is very hard to achieve and control. I use a steel touring bike on my direto trainer, with sterzo. Can I fit an angled wdge under the sterzon to make the pivot point of the tyre on the floor closer to the front of the slot for the tyre on the sterzo?
