I have recently changed my old Samsung Galaxy tablet for a new one.
The old one was a Galaxy Note 10.1, Android version 5.1.1
The new Galaxy Tab 8, Android version 11
Having installed the App on the new tablet, I find that the power readings don't make sense.
It's display a six-digit number, which also screws up the calorie count, and likewise training stress score.
Any ideas as to cause, and solution?

Wow. that's really weird. First time I see something like that.
Which trainer model do you have?

Are you sure to have set the proper number of flashes?
If it is so, contact the support as there may be a problem with the misuro:

In the misuro, when you press the little button on the side of the battery holder, the red led does a certain number of blinks.
This number indicates which trainer is being used with misuro.
Pressing the button again, you'll increase the number of those blinks.
You have to check to have selected the correct number as indicated in the misuro installation sheet

Correct settings. I at the moment I'm still using my old tablet, which gives the correct values, but the new one doesn't. I'll raise a ticket.
Thanks
