Same issue here, bought 1 month ago.
Thinking on replacing it.

same issue, firmware 078 and using a Garmin Edge 530 to control the trainer.
Support claims it‘s normal which is clearly not true.
i upgraded from a Direto (first generation) but i regret it

Hi.

I opened the chassi to have a look at the screw that adjustes the break. I started E-Training and went from lvl 1-16 without problem, but when going back to lvl 1 it kind of got stuck halfway. So it said lvl1 in the program but breakes still on.

So, I cleaned of all the vaseline from the screw with drivetrain cleaning. After that it worked for me. Have just tried it once with Zwift so I cant be certain, but it doesent get stuck anymore, due to old, grease gone sticky.

good luck

Firmware update 78->80 removed my start resistance and ERG problems totally - now it's working as it should - for a while....

My trainer has only just started doing this after being fine for many months.

It's when I start a training plan/module - it will remain at way past my FTP and it won't come right unless I pause/restart the ride 2-3 times (using the companion app in Rouvy).

Is this a firmware thing?...or is something about to fail?

Regards

It is for sure a software problem, but Elite tends to deny the existence.
Did you already update to firmware v80? If you are lucky this is a solution.
