Direto Bluetooth Controllable

Hi, I've connected my Direto trainer ok using the apps config and it shows as a "Power Source" and "Cadence" (DI 165) fine in the zwift paired devices but it wont find it as a "Controllable Device" and change resistance. Other posts with the same issue on the zwift forums seem to just update firmware on stuff like tacx trainers etc and they're fine but Elite don't seem to have the option to do that in their app. Is there anything that I'm missing that needs to be done before it will show up?
Cheers.

Hi

When you select the controllable trainer option, a menu will open.
You should see various options there, you have to select the one with the "fe-c" word on it.

I have the same issue. With Zwift using BLE with Android and PC the Direto does not show as a Controllable Device. It only shows in the Power and Cadence sections.

The menu that opens has nothing to select whereas the previous ones mentioned (power/speed/cadence) do :?

Hi guys

We've done some tests in the same conditions and we've found you're right.
It seems that Zwift used in this configuration (Zwift + mobile link) doesn't support our trainers.

Zwift is capable to read the data channels (speed, power, cadence) but it is not capable to connect to the trainer as a controllable trainer.
Please contact Zwift for details and ask them if they're going to implement this option in future updates.

Regards

I believe if you have a newer laptop that uses Bluetooth 4, you will be able to connect to the smart trainer, but in Zwift search for the trainer first, before the other sensors are searched.

Alternately, I believe this dongle will work with a laptop to allow a Bluetooth connection to a PC/Laptop:

Then Zwift can use Bluetooth for the smart trainer and you can use ANT+ or Bluetooth for the other sensors

I had the same issue this morning - after searching zwift support forums, it turns out it's not something they can sort and it's a windows issue with Bluetooth smart so not going to happen. I've given up and ordered an ANT+ dongle.

Hi there, I'm in exactly this position. Could you tell me if buying an Ant+ dongle sorted this resistance problem?

Thanks
