Pedals Slipping

Postby kkauffman » Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:37 pm

When using my Direto XR trainer, whenever I go to sprint, accelerate, or apply high torque (such as when trying to climb), the trainer seems to release all resistance with a loud "clunk" and the bike pedals spin freely for a short time. The resistance returns as my reaction is always to stop pedaling immediately. I am trying to figure out what the issue is but thought someone might have experienced this and can get me right to the root cause and fix. My trainer is 3 years old, so perhaps it could be the belt is slipping and needs to be adjusted? Or even replaced (hopefully not)?
