IN MY CASE the procedure took 3 stepps:
1. install an app named "nRF Connect" on the phone and check if the app can "see" the device "DFU Targ" (in my case it could) and report back to Elite with results,
2. Upload a .zip file I recieved in next mail from Elite, (using the app) to the device (the email had a tutorial movie included - very simple).
3. After that I was able to use Upgrado normal way.
I suppose the file to upload is device-specific.
I suggest contacting with Elite and do exactly as they instruct. They responded to my ticket on the next day, and the day after the trainer was fixed.
