Hi, I have been using the elite qubo digital smart b+ with ZWIFT for a while and all working well. My wife now wants to try the trainer as a regular trainer so no ZWIFT etc connected. The question is......... To simply place a bike in the trainer and ride will this damage the trainer, and does it make any difference if the unit is powered up or not?
I know it won't make a difference in terms on creating different friction on the roller because it wont be getting any commands from ZWIFT but my being powered up it might allow the motor to spin freely so not to damage it. I simply do not know the internal workings of the unit so keen not to brake it but using it in a way that it wasn't specifically designed for. Thanks.
